Robie sobie test bosona i natknąłemn się na takie pytanie
Which of the following valid Host ID's for 157.89.9.50 /28 (12 bits subnetting)?
Ja odpowiedziałem, że 157.89.0.49 - 157.89.9.64
A odpowiedz prawidłowa była 157.89.9.49 - 157.89.9.62
A tak to zostało wytłumaczone:
Figure out the mask: /28 = 255.255.255.240
Figure out the subnet multiple: 256-240=16
Subnets are 16,32,48,64,80 etc... (jak na razie jasne)
Given itah this IP address is .50, we look for the subnet that is close to .50
without going over .48 is closest with out going over .50
This is subnet 48, next subnet is 64, so the brotcast address is 63!
Everything between the subnet (48) and brodcast (63) are the valid hosts.
In this example, based on the given mask, the valid host ranges are 49-62.
