Czesc "cayman" i reszta ekipy!

Co do szukania pracy na wyspach to generalnie polecam zalapac sie gdzies w PL i zdobyc troche doswiadczenia bo bez stazy pracy bedzie ciezko.

JEzeli jestes juz w UK to moze cos takiego cie zainteresuje. Nie jest to stanowsko czysto sieciowe ale super jako pierwsza praca bo mozna sie sporo nauczyc a potem zmienic dzial i przejsc do sici, systemow etc.

Data Centre Operations Technician LI

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Data Centre Operations Technician LI is responsible for maintaining the installed server and network devices, troubleshooting, and repairing servers with hardware and network problems. The Technician works with minimal supervision in a high stress environment. The technician is responsible for building custom ordered servers.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Key Accountabilities
" Monitor and troubleshoot server equipment installed in the production environment, ensuring a fast reaction to incoming 'alerts' to maximise customer uptime.
" Maintain the live production environment, ensuring that all areas within the Data Centre Operations' areas of responsibility are clean and tidy at all times.
" Communicate with customers and other Rackers via the telephone, email, and the CORE ticketing system ensuring all communications are courteous and professional at all times.
" Build, upgrade and configure custom ordered servers spanning several different platforms and configurations.
" Perform upgrades and maintenances on customer equipment at pre-scheduled times.
" Ensuring all process and 'quality assurance' documentation is completed correctly at all times and filed according and in a timely manner.
" Responsible for adhering to company security policies and procedure as directed
Key Performance Indicators
" Ensure that the Rackspace hardware replacement SLA's are adhered to in the event of a hardware failure.
" The Data Centre facility has regular inspections undertaken. The standard of housekeeping must be maintained to a high level so these inspections are passed. Each technician has a joint responsibility for all tidying.
" Ensure all communication with customers and Rackers alike is maintained to a high standard (EOTR)
" Each server platform variant has a 'time to delivery' SLA associated with it. These must be met, with an aim to exceed them where possible.


PERSON SPECIFICATION:

" KNOWLEDGE: Basic knowledge of PC and Server hardware. Basic knowledge of Window/Unix operating systems..
" SUPERVISION: Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Self starter.
" SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Previous working experience building and repairing PCs and Servers. Previous experience administrating Windows or Unix based operating systems. Windows/Unix/Networking technical certification desirable. Exhibits good communication and grammatical skills. Previous experience in a customer service oriented position preferred. Must exhibit a fanatical customer service attitude. Due to the nature of the position, must be able to lift 50 lbs over head. Due to the 24x7 operations of the facility, must be able to work a flexible work schedule, may include nights, weekends, holidays, etc. An inherent flair to go 'above and beyond'. Hardworking and copes well under high pressure. Basic time management and organisational skills.

IT Support Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY

The role of the IT Support Engineer within the IT Support team is to provision, support and maintain the current internal infrastructure as well as the IT equipment used by the internal users across multiple offices. The role requires strong hardware and software skills and an ability to work with all types of people on a professional basis. As part of the team and individually, you will be able to provide technical input into the team. You will be involved in creating and improving processes within the team, liaise and collaborate with other departments to achieve shared or wider goals, as well as proactively identify, recommend and implement new technologies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The role will require frequent visits to other Claranet offices or data centres.
The hours are 8.30-5:30 Monday to Friday. There will also be occasional project work and incidents requiring work outside the usual hours.
Maintain and support Claranet internal customers on a day to day basis
Processing support requests and ensuring they are responded to in a professional and timely manner
Troubleshooting and administration of hardware and software including windows 7/8, Windows server 2003 - 2012, Active Directory Administration, Microsoft office 2010 – 2013 and SCCM administration tools
Administration, support of the current internal infrastructure, routine maintenance
Installation and deployment of workstations, laptops and other IT equipment, including network and phone cabling and patching.
Support the office voice (Avaya + Cisco) and data networks
Support mobile devices (iOS and Android),
Provide technical input into the team, which will be maintaining a Windows Network model, ensuring that best practice is followed
Document the configuration of services, hardware/software solutions in the IT Support Handbook and any necessary user documentation
Maintain and improve and ITIL service delivery model within the IT Support Team
Self-manage project work and provide input to wider projects

POSITIONS SPECIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will have:

Demonstrable experience in a IT/Desktop support role ideally 3-4+ years
Demonstrate experience Supporting and managing a windows environment MCP in (7/8) & (2008/2012 server)
Working as part of a team, you should have the maturity to work under pressure,
Ability to work independently when required and have excellent proven problem solving skills
You will be expected to communicate with users via telephone, email and face to face and should therefore possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. As well as be comfortable supporting senior management
Ability to impart knowledge to other members of the team so that they will be able to use this information within their roles
Time management
Positive attitude
Excellent documentation and written skills
Full driving license

SCCM 2012
Lync 2013
Apple Knowledge
Previous experience of working in an ISO9001 or ISO27001 certified organization
Understanding of ITIL best practice

Szukam stażu/pracy/pomocy przy projekcie na 1-kilka miesięcy w UK. Chodzi mi głównie o naukę angielskiego, więc nie musi być to konkretnie zajęcie sieciowe + kasa nie ma zupełnie znaczenia, mogę pracować za jedzenie/spanie :)
Doświadczenie w sieciach 3 lata, certy CCNA/CCNA Security, kurs CCNP + uczę się do certa, angielski B1.

Nie chce teraz wyjeżdżać na stałe, a kursy w UK drogie. Wydaję mi się, że szanse znalezienia takiej oferty na krótki czas są małe, ale chciałem spróbować. Moja propozycja póki co jest bezterminowa.

Wydaje mi się, że nie zrozumiałeś moich intencji. W tym przypadku nie szukam pracy, a jedynie możliwości przebywania w anglojęzycznym środowisku i przez to naukę języka.

Poszukaj byle jakiej pracy w Cambridge czy Oxford. W wolnym czasie jak najwięcej czasu spędzaj z native speakerami - możesz zatrudnić się do byle jakiej pracy, np puby - pracuję w nich dużo anglików. Jeśli chodzi o poznanie ludzi do konwersacji to polecam meetup.com lub couchsufring. Nie wiem czy nie jest już za późno, ale możesz jeszcze zaaplikować do któregoś z college'y na kurs ESOL za który nie zapłacisz nic, bo Twoja zarobki w ostatnim roku były mniejsze niż 21000 funtów (tak zakładam).

a Ty jak? Uważasz, że masz CCNA i już wszystko wiesz? Skąd ta wrogość, że człowiek chce się uczyć?
Powiem więcej, ludzie słono płacą za to, żeby wyjechać np. do USA i pracować za darmo w zamian za naukę ( np Camp America ), przynajmniej kiedyś tak było. To samo z bezpłatnymi stażami, tylko żeby się czegoś nauczyć.

Trochę się czasy zmieniły i ludzie młodsi ode mnie o dekadę mają zupełnie inne podejście. 1/3 firm nie znajduję ludzi do pracy po wielu miesiącach poszukiwań bo zgłaszają się ludzie bez wiedzy i doświadczenia, a chcą pensji ekspertów.

Fajnie, trzeba się cenić i mieć ambicje - to są dobre cechy, ale trzeba też dać coś od siebie żeby później coś dostać.

b) Senior security analyst - team leader

Wymogi na start (dla SA) to znajomosc TCP/IP, troche Linuxa, korzystnie jakiegos komercyjnego firewalla (Checkpoint/Juniper/PaloAlto/Cisco) i/lub IPS (Sourcefire/Proventia) + ogolne ogarniecie. Angielski wymagany, niemiecki bylby atutem. W trakcie rekrutacji liczy sie wiedza nie certyfikaty, ale jak juz masz CCSA/E to nie jest to przeszkoda. Jezeli nie masz a chcialbys miec to mozesz liczyc na sponsoring po zatrudnieniu. SSA-TL oczywiscie wymagania beda wieksze.
