Key Responsibilities
Works on information security problems that are diverse and highly complex. Selects methods and
techniques for identifying and advocating effective security solutions. Develops approaches to address
critical information security issues. Develops and administers schedules and performance requirements.
 Consults with internal teams and provides guidance and/or solutions on:
o Secure Development Practices and Application/Infrastructure Network Security
o Infrastructure Design Requirements
o Risk associated with initiatives and policy deviation requests
o Compliance implications of design decisions in application and infrastructure designs
 Manages policy exception requests through standard review and dispensation processes
 Ensures customer satisfaction through professional consulting engagement and use of a risk
based approach
 Investigates complex, and sometimes historic practices/solutions to determine gaps and needed
improvements and facilitates migration to a preferred state
 Works with Business and Sr. Management as required and facilitate resolution to challenging
business problems/objectives in a secure way
 Develops and maintain comprehensive documentation of engagements performed and risks
and/or issues identified
Essential Requirements
 Advanced knowledge of application and network security concepts including technologies and
framework
 Understanding of SDLC, Agile, Rapid Application Development, Kanban, Scrum, CMMI, Java,
SANS GWEB, Android/Apple Development or REST
 Ability to communicate complex and technical issues to diverse audiences, orally and in writing, in
an easily-understood, authoritative and actionable manner
 Must work well with others as part of larger team and be able to collaborate on cross functional
teams.
 Understands, applies and may adapt fundamental concepts, practices and procedures for diverse
engagement types
 8+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6+ years with a
Master’s degree
Desirable Requirements
 Broad understanding of secure coding practices and standard code defect issues such as unvalidated
input, SQL injection, X-Site Scripting, hard coded credentials, etc. and their implications
to system security state.
 Experience with system Threat Modelling (preferably to STRIDE methodology)
 Experience with Cloud Security Architectures (AWS, VMWare Air, VirtuStream, OpenStack,
Azure, RackSpace or others) including deployment of security designs and Cloud Native
Application Security
 Expertise in most of the following –Web API (MS ASP.Net), C#, .Net Framework, Web Services,
HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, SOAP, REST, JQuery
 CISSP or similar certification preferred

Key responsibilities
 Collaborates with product and service groups to drive remediation of identified vulnerabilities or
security controls gaps in Dell applications, software or infrastructure
 Leads and drives remediation efforts with business and end users for all high and critical severity
issues reported.
 Analyses security issues, determine cause and impact and identify the corrective action needed
to eliminate and prevent the event from happening in the future.
 Helps integrate information security controls into an environment to identify risks and reduce their
impact.
 Reviews and follow-up on identified vulnerability remediation efforts, and validate successful
implementation of the recommended mitigating controls
 Recommends standards, policies, and/or procedures to correct deficiencies
Essential Requirements
 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field of study
 Minimum of 4 years of information technology and information security experience
 Knowledge IT and IT Security fundamentals and working knowledge of IT hosting services,
firewalls, networking, servers, storage etc.
 Hands on experience and knowledge of OWASP tools and methodologies and security attack
vectors.
 Strong knowledge of current industry trends and latest technology in information security field.
 Minimum of 2 years of experience in business management, along with the following skills: Ability
to collaborate with business stakeholders to identify requirements and drive compliance with
approved standards
 Very good English knowledge
Desirable Requirements
 Working knowledge of one or more relevant industry standards, frameworks, and practices; such
as IT Service Management, ISO 27001, ISO 27002, COBIT, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) etc.
 one or more industry certifications in Information Security and Risk Management: CISSP, CISA,
CRISC, CISM GCIH, GCIA, CEH, Network+, Security+, or other industry-relevant cyber-security
certifications
 Customer-oriented with a strong interest in customer satisfaction
 Strong written (e.g., documentation) and verbal communication skills
 The ability to work comfortably and successfully in a fast-paced environment with frequent
changes in priorities
