Who are we looking for – an infrastructure engineer with at least 3-5 years technical experience who knows his stuff and be ready for a new challenge. Ideally, we are looking for an individual who will joining team of 3-4 engineer, who can mentor and train up, so this is an ideal role for those looking to develop and accelerate their career in London.
Duties of the Network Engineer:
The design and implementation of new solutions ensuring to stick to the standards as defined by the company and improving resilience of the current network environment
2nd/3rd line network support for complex incidents and problems
Visiting client’s sites
Creating client execution reports
Managing engineer timekeeping and service level targets
Maximizing network performance by monitoring performance
Undertaking network fault investigations in local and wide area environments, using information from multiple sources
Securing network systems by establishing and enforcing policies
The support and administration of firewall environments in line with IT security policy
The configuration of routing, switching and wireless equipment
Remote support of on-site engineers
Requirements of the Network Engineer:
Experience designing, planning and implementing networks
Microsoft Windows Sever/Exchange 2010 through 2016
Microsoft TCP/IP and related technologies
Microsoft Active Directory configuration and administration and Group policy
Microsoft Windows Hyper-V
Firewall and Switches working experience (Cisco Meraki & Juniper knowledge is an advantage)
Strong networking & troubleshooting skills
Ability to communicate technical issues to all levels
Ability to document new processes and procedures for use both internally and externally.
Excellent customer service skills
Mac OSX knowledge is an advantage
A mix of the following skills would be advantage:
Juniper Firewall & EX series switches, Cisco, Citrix, DNS, Linux, SAN, vSphere, SCCM, SQL, HP, DHCP, SQL Server, IIS, Powershell scripting, Microsoft Certification, NetApp, Exchange Server 2014, Cloud experience
Location of work:
You will be based in our London, Shepherd's bush office.
How much we are paying:
Depends on experience starting from £28K - £40K
