"With SIP local survival enabled, the local SIP server in the branch detects the connection to the headquarters voice server by sending keep-alive messages (options messages) periodically.
- If the local SIP server receives responses from the headquarter voice server, the local SIP server does not take over local call management. All subscribers of the branch register to the headquarter voice server, which performs call control and service processing.
