Network Management Specialist



The Thomson Reuters Support Centre is the high profile first point of contact for customers wanting help on any Thomson Reuters products or services. The aim is to provide an efficient and effective place for customers to contact, where they can be assured that their queries, which include data, functionality and technical, will be answered promptly, accurately and professionally by telephone or electronically.

The distribution management function is the next level of expertise in remote management. Pro-actively monitoring the healthiness of the Thomson Reuters devices installed in client site, resolve technical problem using remote management tools in the aim to restore the service to the client sooner and minimise site visits. Manage the problem from start to end and update the client regularly. There will be a requirement to work on a rota pattern.

The role consists of the following responsibilities:

Pro-actively monitoring client site devices
Acting as a frontline support for the clients
Managing problems end to end. Liaising with field groups, technical operation/telecoms, 2nd line support. Keeping track the progress until problem is resolved
Collecting & analyzing log file from client site device
Resolving problem using remote management tools
Assisting other groups to determine the status of a client site device using remote health checks
Maintaining adequate product, technical and market knowledge
Maintaining call handling skill, including the correct call logging, administrative and procedural practices required


The ideal candidate will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:

Excellent customer service skills (experience would be an advantage)
Understanding of Windows Workstation/Server
Good working knowledge of TCP/IP protocol
Network Technologies ( routers, switches)
Data communication and digital switching including LAN/WAN systems
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
Working towards goals and SLAs, ability to work under pressure
Practical understanding of performance measurement techniques and statistics
Knowledge of remote management protocols and tools (i.e. Tivoli, SSH, Telnet)
ITIL foundation certificate would be an advantage

W Nordea banku to z tego co mi kolega mowil 8000 - 9000 dla inzyniera i okolo 13 000 dla managera. Oczywiscie brutto. Innymi slowy szalu nie ma a wrecz przeciwnie raczej srednie wynagrodzenie jak na moj gust :(
U mnie w firmie management szuka ludzi juz kilka miesiecy i nic ciekawego znalezc nie moga - na waszym miejscu chlopaki nie zchodzil bym ponizej 12 000 brutto za inzyniera ... a jak sie pracodawcom nie podoba to do Indii sobie moga przeniesc operation ;)

Tylko z tego co wiem i z tego co koledzy mówili Nordea nie wymaga CCIE, a dla osoby z CCNP to bardzo dobre zarobki.

A jak to jest Twoja firma? Może podasz nazwę to chętnie wyśle CV (może być na priv jeśli to tajemnica)

To odnosi się tylko do czegoś o nazwie Nordea Polska (czy jakoś tak).
Wynieść, to się nie wyniosą, ba, nawet nowy biurowiec w Gdyni powstanie :P
